About

In the year of our Lord 1990, JP Pelc entered the world via a humble birth in a log cabin. From his earliest days, he was passionate about films and filmmaking. It is rumored by some historians that his first words were “180 degree rule,” yet as of this day they are still searching for evidence of such. Regardless, throughout his early years he was fascinated towards any and every camera he could find. The day he received a hand-me-down VHS camcorder from the 80’s, he was happier than Danny Tanner. After making many goofy films and videos with his friends, it was clear that he needed to pursue a career in filmmaking. Thus he embarked on a journey to that distant land known as Pittsburgh, PA to attend Point Park University. It was here that a short documentary made with friends for a class project evolved into a feature-length, award winning documentary. Since graduating in 2012, he has worked for various production companies, ad agencies, and even an MLS team. In 2018 he formed Pelc Productions LLC and has been loving every minute of the freelance life. When he’s not busy making award-winning films, you can find JP biking around the city, playing video games, or relaxing in a dive bar with a cigar and a glass of whiskey.
